Department of Health Grant

KCHT was delighted to be awarded substantial funds from the Department of Health's funding for improving the care home environment for older people.

This, together with KCHT's own funds, will mean that in the current year £1.4 million will be spent on improving KCHT's 19 care homes.

The Director of Property & Development, Tracey Jones, said "We are intending to spend the money wisely to ensure we make a positive impact on the comfort of the homes for the benefit of our residents. This will include redecorating lounges and bedrooms, including new soft furnishings and a number of gardens will be improved as well so that residents can participate more readily in both tending the gardens and enjoying them."
