Volunteers

KCHT's work benefits enormously from the efforts of large number of volunteers who freely give of their time and experience to help our service users.

Their contribution includes:

  • serving as Trustees
  • acting as mentors to the young people we assist
  • providing extra support for the staff in our care homes and
  • arranging and carrying out fundraising events.

The KCHT Moving Forward and Breakthrough Services has achieved Approved Provider Standard (APS) from the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation.

For some young people the only adults in their lives are the Moving Forward and Breakthrough keyworkers they meet. Volunteers can provide the extra support that they need to overcome the difficulties they are experiencing and make a successful transition to adult life.

Volunteers enable our young people to find practical solutions to the difficulties they are experiencing and provide the one to one support to help them succeed.
