I am homeless - what should I do?

You can obtain help from either your local Moving Forward project, your local Social Services Department or Connexions.

If you are aged 16 – 25 and live near to a Moving Forward project then please call or attend a drop-in: The Keyworkers will be able to give you advice and offer you support in finding somewhere to live. Sometimes, they can also help with giving you some food and there will always be the offer of a hot drink.

Otherwise, if you are 16 or over, then you should go to your local council’s Housing Office and inform them that you are homeless. If you are aged under 16, then you need to go to your local Social Services Department.

If you are aged 13 – 19, Connexions may also be able to give you advice and support. There are offices you can drop into in most areas.
