Quality Standards
KCHT is committed to continually improving the effectiveness of its Quality Management Systems by ensuring that procedures and work instructions are appropriate to fully meet the needs of our staff and service users.
This means that we have: - Clear written statements of our standards and written instructions for our staff on how they should undertake their duties
- A comprehensive plan for the care of each resident, where possible, and all those involved in providing the care and support
- Regular internal checks to ensure that we are meeting our standards in addition to the checks made by statutory and regulatory authorities
- Independent external audits of our services by ISOQAR (an independent body) to ensure we continue to meet the requirements of our accreditation under ISO.
KCHT’s management systems are assured by ISO9001 accreditation and the Investor in People Standard. KCHT has held both these "kite" marks since 1995. ISOQAR is an accredited certification body authorised to audit organisations and issue certificates against a variety of management systems. The Investors in People Standard is a business improvement tool designed to helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their people. In May 2006 KCHT was reassessed and continued to meet the requirements of the Investors in People National Standard following a very positive feedback from the assessors.
