KCHT features in Cabinet Meeting
During a recent Cabinet Meeting which included the Prime Minister Gordon Brown, KCHT was showcased as an example of excellence for its invaluable mentoring service to victims of drug and alcohol abuse.  | Breakthrough Community Grant For Thanet |
Disadvantaged young people and their families in Kent will have access to sports clubs, parenting skills and healthy eating workshops as part of the Breakthrough Plus project, made possible by a Big Lottery Fund grant announced today.
The grant of over £460,000 is awarded by BIG as part of the Reaching Communities programme, which aims to help those most in need and build stronger communities. Read on.........
Care Home Name Competition
KCHT, the South East’s leading residential care home and community support provider this week officially launched the start of an £8 million pound project to build a state-of-the-art care home with 112 ensuite bedrooms.
The launch was marked by a “sod turning” ceremony on the Churchlands site in Chatham, which was attended by key stakeholders and community figures including the Mayor of Medway Councillor David Carr, Deputy Lieutenant of Kent John Spence OBE, Neil Davies CEO of Medway Council and Cedric Frederick CEO of KCHT.
The naming of the building has been opened up to the public and residents of the nearby Shawswood and Lennox Wood Homes, with a competition prize of a 6 bottle case of Champagne for the chosen name.

KCHT’S New Head Office Officially Opened
On 24th March 2009 KCHT'c New Head Office officially opened. The office is named De Gelsey House, after the late Alex de Gelsey CBE, a long serving member of KCHT’s Board of Trustees.It was officially opened by Mrs Romy de Gelsey, who unveiled a portrait of her late husband.
